Bound & Gagged Comedy are taking “The Thinking Drinkers” up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and on tour in Autumn.
Their brand new show ˜Pub Crawl” is a hilarious, intoxicating bar-hop through history. Enjoy five freedrinks as the award-winning experts take you from the symposiums of Ancient Greece to the classic British boozer via Wild West saloons, Victorian gin palaces and the secret Speakeasy. You’ll learn a lot, you’ll laugh a lot and, don’t forget, you get five free drinks.
*Their message is”Drink Less, Drink Better” encouraging people to discover craft ales and independent spirits.*

The Derby CAMRA Winter Ale Festival, at the historic Roundhouse near Pride Park, has undergone a transformation and promises to be an unmissable experience in 2019. We have a new craft keg bar, Blue Monkey are hosting a gin bar and we have a range of live music from Elvis to modern rock covers. And, of course, we have our fantastic range of 400+ cask ales, ciders, perries, bottled world beers and meads.
The Young Members Reps for Nottingham CAMRA, are organising a big CAMRA Young Members social at the festival on Saturday 23rd February. This is being hosted by East Midlands CAMRA who will providing all of their YMs with a free pint of their choice but the event is open to all Young Members from every branch. Entry to the festival is free to all CAMRA members, the Roundhouse is right next to Derby Railway Station and there are free shuttle buses to and from the town centre.

Tewkesbury CAMRA are running a bus to the 15th Derby Winter Ale Festival, which features over 400 cask ales ciders and perries.
The bus will leave the Black Bear at 10:00am, so you’ll need to make your own way there (bus 41 from Cheltenham). Expected to be back in Tewkesbury for 7:00pm.
Cost of the bus is circa £15. You can check the entry cost on the Derby CAMRA website.

The February Ale Amble takes a short trip across the border to the city of Worcester where Veronica has a pub crawl round some new pubs planned.

The March branch business meeting will be held at St Stephens Club starting at 8:00pm.
This meeting will also decide the entries for the 2020 GBG and all members welcome to attend.
Please note this meeting will now take place on Monday 4th March and not Tuesday 5th March as previously advertised.
The March social will start at the Jolly Brewmaster at 8pm and then go on to visit other pubs in the area
All local CAMRA branches have been invited for a tour round the new Stroud Brewery, on Saturday 16th March provisionally at 11:00am. North Cotswold CAMRA are organising a minibus which may have spaces available or alternatively, Stroud can be reached by bus (Stagecoach service 66), from Cheltenham.
