The March social will start in the St Georges Vaults at 8pm before heading off to sample the other nearby pubs.
Members and non-members welcome.
Monthly social. Pub crawl starting in The Retreat
Start time 8pm
The May social will be a tour of the pubs and clubs of Charlton Kings starting in the Royal at about 8:00pm.
You can use the Stagecoach ‘B’ service, from North Street – we recommend the 7:55pm service. The last bus back (from outside The Royal) is at 11:10pm.
Join us in one of the most picturesque pub gardens in Cheltenham. We’ll be starting here before moving on to others pubs in the area.
We recommend getting the Stagecoach “A” service leaving the town centre at 7:34pm, which means you can get an “Evening Rider” ticket. The last buses back from Prestbury are at 10:46pm or 11:16pm.
CAMRA Tasting Panels are responsible for tasting all the real ales that are regularly brewed within their area, and for submitting the descriptions to CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide. They also put forward beers to CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Britain Competition and members can get involved with beer judging if they wish.
All of the Panel members are volunteers who have been trained by CAMRA. No experience is necessary, just a good nose, a taste for a variety of beers and a willingness to fill in tasting cards throughout the year. The panel also meets occasionally.
The next Cheltenham Tasting Panel will be open to all CAMRA members to attend, see what the panel does and, if interested, find out how training can be arranged to join a panel. Details of the next panel meeting are:
Sunday July 15th at 19:30
Old Courthouse, Regent Street (opposite the Everyman Theatre)
Cheltenham
Following that we may also visit the Sandford Park Alehouse or other locals, depending on beer availability.
If anyone is interested in attending please email press@cheltenhamcamra.org.uk
Date changed to Thursday 13th September to coincide with GBG 2019 launch
We will start at 7pm in the Moon Under Water and late move on to Whittle Taps

The annual Cheltenham CAMRA Charity Singalong takes place at a new venue this year (and new entry into the 2019 GBG), the Whittle Taps.
Once again, Gren will be on the piano to lead us in seasonal (and not so seasonal) tunes.
We will be raising money for the Midlands Air Ambulance, so don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets. Any prizes you’d like to donate would be gratefully accepted.
