In October Cheltenham Ale Amblers will be heading to Lichfield.
We are going on the 10.16 from Cheltenham to Lichfield (changing at Birmingham New Street) and coming back at 18.44 (changing at Birmingham University).
Bill Hunt, from Tewkesbury CAMRA, has now opened up bookings for this annual trip to the Black Country and he is hiring a Swanbrook coach which will leave from Royal Well, Cheltenham. These trips are very interesting and fun. Bill chooses places and pubs which are not easily accessable via public transport from Cheltenham.
The time is still to be arranged and also the price (which is normally very reasonable).
Contact Bill Hunt directly if you wish to go: socialsecretary@tewkesbury.camra.org.uk

The November Ale Amble heads across the Severn to the border town of Chepstow.
We shall be getting the 10.45 train arriving at 11.26. . If you are coming from another area then we shall meet you in the Bell Hanger, (Wetherspoons), 9–10 St Mary Street (not far from the station). Our train arrives at 11.26 so we shall see you shortly after that. Norman from Cardiff/Bristol has just been to Chepstow and has kindly offered to guide us. I am aware that the micro pub (Queen’s Head) doesn’t open until 5 pm – however on prior notice we *MAY* be able to get it to open earlier. The train back will be 18.46 or 19.17 – I leave it to you.

To coincide with Bristol and District’s ‘Mild Ale Promotion’ Campaign, the next South West Regional Meeting, hosted by Bristol and District Branch, will be on Saturday 23rd November at the Famous Royal Navy Volunteer in King Street, Bristol BS1, starting at 12.30.
The meeting will be followed by tour of appropriate pubs in Bristol.
It’s about a 20 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads station to the venue, so we’d recommend getting the 10:52 train (arrives 11:38). A day return costs £10.00.
December Business meeting will now take place at Cheltenham Motor Club. Note change of date and venue for original notification
Meeting starts at 8pm. All members welcome
