Twenty fourth CAMRA Bristol Beer Festival @ City Hall
Nov 16 – Nov 19 all-day

The 24th CAMRA Bristol Beer Festival will run from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th November 2023 at City Hall, College Green, Bristol. There will be a carefully chosen selection of around 90 different real ales on sale over the course of the festival as well as a range of around 30 ciders and perries.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by clicking HERE

Ticket prices for the sessions are unchanged from last year with Thursday and Saturday costing £14 (Friday is SOLD OUT) and tickets for the session on Sunday afternoon costing £11. Tickets for all sessions include £5 worth of beer festival tokens, which customers will receive on entry enabling them to go straight to the bar. Also included are a festival programme and commemorative glass. Please note that as the branch still has a large stock of unused glasses that we had made for the 2020 beer festival (which was cancelled due to COVID), these will be used for this festival. On presentation of a current membership card when entering the festival, CAMRA members will also receive a voucher on entry for a half pint of beer up to 5% ABV.

In light of customer feedback that at the peak of some sessions of the 2022 festival it felt a bit too crowded, the overall number of tickets on sale per session has been reduced.

IMPORTANT

When buying tickets please double check that you have selected the correct session(s) that you wish to attend and that you enter your email address correctly.

We strongly advise keeping an eye on our website www.camrabristol.org.uk as this will feature further beer festival information including updates about ticket availability and the beer and cider lists as they become available. Ticket availability as at 6:00pm on Friday 10th November are noted below.

Ale Amble to Birmingham Christmas Market
The ale amblers make the annual trip for a glass of Gluhwein at the Christmas Market (which at present appears to be still going ahead). Perhaps we can help this bankrupt city by buying gallons of beer. We will then head towards Snow Hill where our first pub will be the North Tap Room, Snow Hill     After meeting our friends, we will get the bus to the Barton Arms and then amble back through the Jewellery Quarter towards New Street, or if that is just too far then get a bus .
Due to the ASLEF overtime ban the planned train is not running. The plan is now to catch 10.40 from Cheltenham to Birmingham New Street arriving – 11.25

Return:  18.42 from Birmingham New Street to Cheltenham arriving 19.27
Please note these traind do not stop at Worcestershire Parkway so the previously advised split tickets MUST NOT be used on these trains

Ale Amble to Bristol and Shirehampton @ Severn Beach
Mar 23 all-day

Another Saturday ale Amble this time heading to Bristol before catching the train to the outskirts of Bristol along the Severn Beach route.

The plan is to get the 10.52 train to Bristol Temple Meads and then get the Severn Beach branch line, getting to Shirehampton at 12.08.  There is one pub there and after a pint, we get back on the train and head back towards Temple Meads, stopping at different stops.  Our friend, Norman (from Cardiff and Bristol), will arrange the itinerary for us.  All you need to know is the first pub which is the Lamplighters at Shirehampton.

With split ticketing, we get a return to Temple Meads (£7.65 – off peak day return) and then one from BTM to Shirehampton (£1.95 –  Anytime Day Return) – both these prices are for those fortunate enough to have a Senior Rail Card.  The Shirehampton ticket allows us to get on and off the train at any station.
Rail strikes permitting.
