Beer Day Britain – 15th June @ A Pub or Club near you!
Jun 15 @ 7:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Beer Day Britain (the annual national beer day) will be taking place this year on 15th June 2021.
.
With pubs, taprooms, clubs and bars re-opening, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate and drink beer. CAMRA members have been the most enthusiastic supporters of Beer Day Britain ever since it started in 2015. Its instigator Jane Peyton is again urging CAMRA members to participate on social media, and to encourage your friends to take part in the national ‘Cheers to Beer’.
.
The focus of the day is the National Cheers To Beer (#CheersToBeer) toast at 7pm, with participants sharing photos of themselves enjoying a pint to accompany their post.
.
The plan is that beer drinkers around the world will unite and participate too. Each year on 15th June that #CheersToBeer trends on social media, even in 2020 when the lockdown meant pubs were closed and people celebrated by drinking beer at home instead. In addition to using the #CheersToBeer hashtag in posts, you can also engage by using the Twitter handle @BeerDayBritain or via Facebook on www.facebook.com/beerdaybritain to raise awareness and join in the conversation.
.
Beer Day Britain is about celebrating our national drink. During the pandemic, we have been physically isolated from socialising with friends, and although continued social distancing measures will mean Beer Day Britain 2021 is different to previous years, we can all still raise a glass.
In addition to the #CheersToBeer hashtag, you are encouraged to use the #PubsMatter hashtag, as this year the celebration will be focusing on pubs after a difficult 14 months for the industry.

Real Ale Trails in Falmouth
Oct 11 – Oct 24 all-day

Past visits to Norwich during its ’City of Ale’ festivals have been the inspiration for forthcoming ‘Real Ale & Cider Trails’ in Falmouth. Although on a much smaller scale than the Norwich festival, CAMRA Kernow have planned and organised some short trails which cover the pubs and bars in the town as part of CAMRA’s 50th anniversary celebrations. We have produced a double-sided leaflet which will be freely available in the participating pubs and it will also be available to download from our website in advance of the two-week event which takes place between 11th- 24th October 2021.

The aim of this pubs-based festival is to promote and support pubs and bars in the town which sell real ale and real cider in the post lockdown period. After months of enforced closures and the implementation of social distancing measures, resulting in reduced footfall and economic concerns for the hospitality industry in general, we are sure you will agree that this is a worthy objective and something to look forward to!

The routes mostly radiate out from ‘The Moor’ in Falmouth and encompass central, well known pubs, those in the main street and those in the quieter back streets which may be less familiar to visitors to the town. CAMRA Kernow committee members have canvassed all possible venues in the town to get involved. Twenty-four venues have agreed to participate in this launch event. These have been formed into four ‘trails’ of six venues. There are no ‘rules’ or ‘rewards’ for this launch event; a trail can be followed or venues from different trails can be ‘mixed and matched’ if you wish. Hopefully the descriptions and symbols on the leaflet will help in the choice! Each venue has been invited to organise and promote pub-based events of their own during the festival fortnight if they wish to add to the fun! You are also encouraged to vote for your ‘beer/cider of the festival’ if you wish! Whatever you choose, please drink responsibly. If this launch is well supported, we have plans to make this an annual event.
