Following today’s announcement that we have been placed in Tier 2, we can confirm that we will be opening on Thursday 3rd December for food bookings and takeaway only. While we are really pleased we can open, this does come with heavy restrictions and our opening hours will now work around our kitchen times. We look forward to welcoming you all back for a ‘substantial meal’. Please see below....🍺🎅🏼🎄
Indoor bookings- Food bookings only. Maximum 1 household per table. Each person must be dining with us & ordering from our menu in order for us to be able to serve alcohol with a substantial meal.
Outdoor Bookings- Food bookings only. Maximum of 6 people from any household per table. As with indoors, alcohol can only be consumed with a substantial meal.
Takeaway- Takeaway meals will be available throughout our kitchen opening times as well as takeaway beer, cider & wines. Please call ahead to order. We will not be able to serve you a drink while you wait.
Please email in to firstname.lastname@example.org to book a table.
Please note that while this is not an ideal situation for us, we are trying our very hardest to abide by the new rules so that we can welcome you back in the best way we can. We are a small family run business & we absolutely appreciate every bit of support we have been shown in the last year! We will be back to being a ‘proper pub’ very soon!! 🍺🍺🍺 ... See MoreSee Less
The UK Government have announced that when the current Lockdown ends on December 2nd Gloucestershire will be placed into Tier 2. This is not good news for our local pubs and clubs as it means they can only serve alcohol when purchased with a substantial meal. We are awaiting the impact this will have on individual establishments but once we are aware of their plans we will publish revised opening hours on the Covid-19 page of the website. ... We are appealing for witnesses after a pub in Cheltenham was broken into last week.
At around 12.40am on Sunday (22 November), a member of the public reported two men acting suspiciously near Bath Road.
Officers attended and found that the The Bell Inn on Bath Road had been burgled with one of the suspects running through neighbouring gardens. Nothing was taken from the premises and nobody was injured.
A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary before being later released under investigation.
Officers are appealing for any information regarding the incident as well as anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact them using this link and quoting incident 24 of 22 November:
